Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define minimum contrast ratios to ensure text is readable by people with visual impairments. This tool calculates the contrast ratio between two colors and tests against WCAG 2.1 AA and AAA levels.

> WCAG CONTRAST REQUIREMENTS

• AA Normal Text (below 18pt): minimum 4.5:1 ratio
• AA Large Text (18pt+ or 14pt bold): minimum 3:1 ratio
• AAA Normal Text: minimum 7:1 ratio
• AAA Large Text: minimum 4.5:1 ratio
